TEMA DEMO NOSE-DIVES

THE GHANAIAN CHRONICLE reports that, the much-trumpeted massive demonstration by the Tema District Council of Labour (TDCL) slated for today, may have hit the rocks.

Reports pieced together by the paper have it that following a meeting at the Tema District Labour offices on Monday, between the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Ghana Employees Association (GEA), it was decided to call off the demonstration mainly because negotiations between the government and the TUC cannot be enhanced by the decision to demonstrate.
