Needy Students Commended For Self-Help Spirit

Awutu-Obrachire (Central Region), 14 Oct. About 20 Students from poor homes currently attending Awutu-Obrachire Secondary/Technical School, have been commended for using Saturdays to work on people's farms for a fee to support their education. Dr. Emmanuel Ababio Tetteh, a Cape Coast-based private medical practitioner and a citizen of Obrachire, commended the students for their self-help spirit. Dr. Tetteh and the Awutu- Effutu-Senya District Chief Executive, Lieutenant Daniel William Osardu (rtd), had met the management, teachers and students of the school to acquaint themselves with problems confronting the institution, at the weekend. He said apart from the excellent ideas shown by the students, he and the DCE were generally impressed by the face-lift in the school and promised that they would support the school in its development. He advised the students to strive for academic excellence and a high sense of discipline to ensure peace and smooth administration of the school at all times.
