Nduom to speak on man’s role in the family on May Day

Groupe Nduom President, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, is billed to speak at the Man2Man Conference slated for Friday, May 1, 2015 at College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra.

The maiden event would be at the behest of Business Administrator and the Senior Pastor of the Maker’s House Chapel International, Dr. Michael Boadi-Nyamakye.

The Man2Man conference would seek to bring together over eight hundred men from all walks of life to discuss the subject of the headship of the man in the home and the God-given role to shaping the society regardless of the odds.

Addressing a press conference yesterday in Accra as a warm-up to the maiden event, Dr. Boadi-Nyamekye mentioned that the discussions would centre on man’s role as a pillar of building financial security for the family, pertinent health issues peculiar to men and their entire wellbeing.

The Man2Man Conference is an initiative of Dr. Michael Boadi-Nyamekye through the B.N Michael Ministry.

The theme for this year’s event is: “I am the Man.”

At the May Day conference would also be Author and established Conference Speaker, Dr. Charles J. Buckman, who is the founding Director of Fatherhood UK. Dr. Buckman is noted for promoting fatherhood, which is changing the lives of African Caribbean men across Europe and Africa.

And sharing his thought on the upcoming conference, Dr. Buckman posited that six out of ten children go to bed daily in a home without a father’s presence, and it was fast becoming a worrying social trend.

He said, “it is high time every man or father took up their rightful positions and responsibilities of leaders and spearheads of the home.”

He was of the view that posterity would not forgive men if they did not take up the mantle as agents of change and role models.

The conference, according to the organisers will address specific needs, struggles and difficulties of all men using the Bible as foundation to provide solutions to all these problems in society.

“It would also empower and encourage men to build strong and resilient families, build their confidence to take active roles in building the nation Ghana,” Dr. Buckman said.
