Nduom launches 2012 campaign

Kumasi, Dec. 21, GNA - Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) flagbearer for the December 7, 2008 elections, at the weekend said he intends to lead his party again for the 2012 presidential elections.
Interacting with executives of the party in the Ashanti Region in Kumasi, Dr Nduom took the opportunity to launch his 2012 campaign during which he distributed T-shirts with the inscription: "Nduom for President in 2012".
Dwelling more on his future political agenda, he said he would not abandoned his political career because his party performed abysmally in the December 7 elections.
Commenting on the December 7 elections, he identified lapses in the CPP's organisational structure at the grassroots as the main factor that prevented it from posting a surprise. He said most of the parliamentary candidates elected by the CPP owed double allegiance to other parties, which in general created loopholes in their efforts, explaining that he was reflecting on the loss with the intention of making amends in future. Dr Nduom advised party supporters to close their ranks and stop the internal squabbles, which had over the years been the bane of the CPP in its pursuit of political glory. He thanked all Ghanaians for being supportive to his activities during his campaign. 21 Dec. 08
