National Chief Imam congratulates Ibrahim Mahama

The National Chief Imam and a delegation of Muslim leaders Friday afternoon called on businessman and Industrialist Ibrahim Mahama at his residence to congratulate him for winning the African Industrialist of the year award at the 8th edition of the African Achievers awards, one of the biggest gatherings of influential and global African Achievers on the continent.

The Chief Imam supervised a special thanksgiving Quranic recitation at the residence of Ibrahim Mahama.

Sheik Sharabutu asked God to favour Ibrahim Mahama with prosperity and long life. He asked the almighty Allah to extend his gracious hand of longevity, health, guidance and sustenance to the life of Ibrahim Mahama, management and staff of Engineers and Planners and its subsidiaries. He prayed for God’s guidance and protection in the Operations of Mr. Ibrahim Mahama businesses. A prayer was said for the country.

The Chief Imam used the opportunity to commend Mr. Ibrahim Mahama for his continue support for the Zongo communities as well as serving as inspiration to the youth of Ghana. He also commended him for creating thousands of jobs for the teeming youth of Ghana.

The Chief Executive Officer of Engineers & Planners Ghana Limited, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama was conferred the African industrialist of the Year at the 2018 African Achievers Award in London .

The elegant event which took place in the House of Commons in London last Thursday, was hosted by Rt. Diane Abbott, Shadow Home Secretary, celebrated the young Ghanaian businessman and Industrialist for his hardwork and outstanding entrepreneurship achievements in Africa.

At the 8th Edition of the Awards ceremony held at the house of Parliament London, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama was presented with the Award by Lindsey Oliver, a Co-Founder of the Aljazeera news channel.

After receiving the award, Ibrahim Mahama dedicated the award to the memory of his late father E.A. Mahama, and mother Joyce Tamakloe. Also, he dedicated the award to the hardworking management and staff of Engineers and Planners, whose untiring efforts he said has elevated the company to its current stage.

“I believe in the potential of our continent. I believe that the opportunities exist for us as Africans to capture the commanding heights of our economies.

“I believe that as youth of the continent we must think outside the box and seize the bountiful opportunities that abound right beneath our noses.”

He expressed the belief that receiving his award, would spur other young Africans to aspire to establish their own businesses and take advantage of the opportunities Africa has to offer.
