National Association of Zongo Chiefs eulogizes late Aliu Mahama

The National Association of Zongo Chiefs has eulogized former Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Alhaji Aliu Mahama.

In a citation read in his honor, executives of the association said he gave hope, inspiration, and courage to residents of the Zongos through his association with them and above all mentored them which was evident in the successes he chalked while on earth.

In view of his contributions to the Zongo communities, they disclosed that he was one loved by all bequeathing a legacy of discipline with his crusade of ‘Do The Right Thing’, love for all and his quest for peace.

The Zongo chiefs observed that he gave exemplary leadership praying for his peaceful repose in heaven and enjoined all religious groups to continue to remember the former second gentleman of the Ghana whose death shook the foundation of the country.

He served as Vice President under Former President John Agyekum Kufuor between 2001 and 2008
