Nana's Running Mate: Alhaji Bawumia

Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Alhaji Mahamadou Bawumia, has been selected as the running mate to New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag-bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo.
According to an NPP party insider, Bawumia is not a card bearing member of the NPP.

Thurs, Aug 14:- The 2008 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, MP, today presented his nominee, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, for the Vice Presidential candidacy to the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the NPP.

The nomination was endorsed by the NEC.

Dr Bawumia will be presented to the NPP rank and file at the Party's Annual Delegates' Conference at the Sekondi College, Western Region, on Saturday, August 16 and the following day to the nation at the Party's mammoth rally to be held at the Takoradi Polytechnic Park.
