President of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has met the British Prime Minister, Theresa May.

The meeting forms part of Nana Addo's three-day-visit to the United Kingdom to boost bilateral ties between both countries.

YEN.com.gh is learning that these talks will center on trade and investments as Britain has expressed interest in doubling investments in the next four years.

UK's trade volume to Ghana is currently about 3.5 percent of the nation's total international trade estimates.

This makes the total annual amount of trade investments to be about 1 billion dollars.

Meanwhile, Nana Addo, is also expected to be presenting a speech on the topic “Democracy and Development” at the Cambridge Union Society of the University of Cambridge.

Following government's commitment to move the economy from aid to trade, Nana Addo will speak at an event themed “Africa Beyond Aid”.

The president will then reveal how he hopes to build government's economy beyond aids and grants from foreign partners.
