Nana Addo Charges: We can't allow NDC to rule again

The Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo, has vehemently told delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that the party cannot afford to allow the NDC rule for another term, saying “Ghanaians are fed-up with the incompetence”.

To him, majority of Ghanaians are waiting anxiously for the NPP to salvage them from the jaws of hopelessness from the NDC government.

The flag bearer said this when he addressed delegates of the party at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday in Accra, where the party officially launched its 2012 Manifesto.

“There is hope for Ghana” was the theme for the conference.

Executives and sympathizers of the party later converged on Mantse Agbona, James Town in Accra later in the day, to formally launch its campaign for the elections.

He said unlike the NDC, the NPP are seeking victory in this year’s election to addressing the bottlenecks facing the economy, and restore of the ordinary Ghanaian.

He said: “We seek victory in December not to laud it over the people of Ghana, but to serve the people of Ghana.

… We seek victory not to punish or penalize our political opponents but to create an atmosphere that will allow all Ghanaians no matter their political colors to participate freely in the growth of our economy.”

He intimated that for the NPP to transform the lives of the masses “we have to win in December and vote out the incompetent and non performing NDC administration.”

As a result, he encouraged party followers to give-off their best for the NPP to emerge as victors in the impending general elections, warning that any act of indiscipline will not be countenance by the national executive.

“I have left the Presidential primaries behind and I am working with everybody to guarantee us victory in December so I expect all of us to be civil and work together as a team,” he advised.
