“Nana Addo Can’t Be Made White”

A member of the National Democratic Congress Communication Team Mr. Mustapha Mohammed has stated that the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo’s reputation has been soiled both locally and internationally to the point where no amount of white-washing can make him come clean.
According to him, the NPP in an attempt, to shift public discourse from the character and track record of Nana Addo are resorting to all sort of evil schemes to defame President Mills and attribute him to characters which to him are synonymous to that of Nana Addo.
He said that the tactics of the NPP is based on recommendations expert from the United Kingdom gave the party when they were contracted to come and investigate what led the party to lose the 2008 general election in other to help the party strategies for 2012.
According to him, the ensuing report from the expert revealed that the questionable character of Nana is the stumbling block and that the only they can shift attention from Nana Addo is to try change the notion that President Mills is incorruptible, principled and above all God fearing.
“President Mills has proven beyond reasonable doubt that he is a man of integrity and an example for politicians to emulate.” The NPP are just desperate to equalize the two personalities to shift the focus of the argument from the questionable character of their flag bearer”

He added that the NPP’s defense of Nana Addo’s track record is not only laughable but disgraceful as not a single initiative can be attributed to Nana Addo during his time as Member of Parliament and Minister of State.
According to him, the over 25 years Prez Mill’s spent in the university grooming some of the Nation’s renowned legal brains, majority of whom are in the NPP and his service as the commissioner of Internal Revenue Service (IRS), his contribution to the actualization of Values Added Tax (TAX) and his four years of service as the Vise President of Ghana stands tall if compared to Nana Addo long standing political career which according to him is only made popular by the ‘kumi preko” demonstration which he led during the nations struggle for Democracy.
“If the yardstick for judging who can be president is demonstration, the likes of Okudzeto Ablakwa and Dr. Omane Boamah are better placed than Nana Addo because not only that they have led many more demonstration than Nana Addo has done all his life, they were able to ensure that not a single life was lost unlike Nana Addo’s demonstration which led to many losing the lives.”
He said that just as President Kuffour said that corruption started from the days of Adam and Eve, every government would have problem dealing with it. However he said, the commitment and action of the leader who is the President is what really attest to the principles that guide the leader.
“President Mills’ unlike President Kuffour who said he cannot arrest member of his government in the name of corruption else it would collapse his government, has proven that he does not condone to any act that would bring the integrity government into disrepute.”
“This government led by Professor Mill has beyond reasonable doubt it frowns on corruption and would crack the whip if anybody is found to have condoned to this act”.
“Though sometimes many expect the president to respond to public outcry in a rush, the President guided by his expertise in legal matters, only acts in accordance with the law a and not guided by emotion as many would expect him to.”
