Nana Addo And NPP Finally Accept 45 New Constituencies!!!

The New Patriotic Party has finally given up on their disapproval for the creation of additional 45 constituencies by Ghana’s Independent Electoral Commission (EC).

The NPP is almost through with the election of their Candidates for the constituencies in question.

It would be recalled that Former President John Agyekum Kufour attacked the integrity and character of the Chairman of the EC last month on the creation of the new constituencies. The former President described the decision by the EC as “non-sensible” calling on the EC to withdraw the Constitutional Instrument which seeks to create the Constituencies from Parliament.

Unknown to the susceptible Ghanaians, the NPP had elected some of their candidates for the 45 new constituencies ahead of President Kufour’s attack on the EC.

Posters of the NPP candidate for the constituency carved out of the Kumawu Constituency, Sekyere Afram Plains (Drobonso as its Capital)and that of Nana Akufo-Addo have been posted all over the constituency.

Their Candidate, Samuel K. Amponsah (a.k.a. Alhaji) has already started a house to house campaign soliciting for the votes from the same people that the NPP says do not deserve representation in Parliament.

The new position of the NPP also leaves the leadership of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in the ‘middle of the sea’ as NPP betrays the Church’s support for them. The Presbyterian Church (the church I belong) has been defending the position of the NPP on the creation of the 45 new constituencies.
