Bronx, NY -- On Saturday, December 9th, 2006, Reverend and Mrs Adu Gyamfi had the honour of naming and outdooring their bundle of joy; Alexander Adu Gyamfi Jr. (Alexander the Great) at the Bible Believers Tabernacle
(BBT) auditorium located on 1877 Bathgate Ave intersecting busy East Tremont Avenue, Bronx, New York.
As the ceremony began, there was an electrical malfunction and the auditorium went dark, this did not disrupt the ceremony.
As this minor glitch was being fixed, the impressive man of God; Dr.
Dominic N. Allottey, General Overseer, Living Faith International Church, Mount Vernon, NY used that interruption to inspire the congregation with his words of encouragement. He mentioned that when the children of God fall, they rise and that lights off was not going to destroy the ceremony.
With the little light available, Dr. Allottey had the honour of naming and blessing; Alexander Adu Gyamfi Jr. and thereby declaring his alias name; Alexander the Great.
What was thought earlier to be a disrupted ceremony became an interesting and successful event. The entire auditorium was packed with loved ones who had come to witness the naming of the son of a couple God has anointed to do his work.
The church choir entertained the congregation with great music backed
by the church band. Rev. and Mrs Adu Gyamfi danced to offer their
praises to the Almighty for a great occasion. There were many men of God who were also present to offer their support to their fellow servant of God
Among the special guests was; Nana Anane Amponsah, NY Asantefuohene who was accompanied by the members of the New York Ashanti royal family.
The Godparents are: Rev. Ike Heavenson, Nana Yaw Apau, Seth Nti Kyei, Mrs Regina Korankye and Mrs Elizabeth Ghunney
