The report by leading news portals like the graphic.com.gh on March 26, 2026, was a military training program by Tema Development Corporation (TDC Ghana Limited).
The report on this limited training linked to TDC Ghana Limited has confused a section of the public who think that the nationwide exercise had already taken off.
"The rumors that the first batch of NSS personnel have passed out from military training are untrue," he stated.
"What was captured in the media was actually a specific program by the Tema Development Corporation (TDC) to train their own internal service personnel. They are the ones who recently completed that training, not the national body,” he added.
He, however, indicated that government had not abandoned the planned military training for National Security Service personnel stressing that the program has been stalled but not aborted.
According to him, the delay in the national rollout is as a result to pending resources from the government.
HE assured the public that the program remains a priority and will commence as soon as the Ministry of Finance releases the necessary budgetary allocations and once it’s done the exercise will commence.
