NPP supporters urged to intensify campaign

Twifu Prasu (Central Region) 28 Feb. 2000 - Mr Agyeman Poku, National Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for Twifu Heman Lower Denkyira Constituency, has appealed to supporters of the party to intensify their campaign to win the constituency seat in this year's elections.

Addressing supporters of the party at Twifu Prasu, on Friday, he said the government has made life very difficult for the ordinary Ghanaian because of its bad economic policies, adding that the NPP has the brightest chance of winning the elections.

Mr Poku advised the supporters against the use of abusive language and urged the executives to educate the people on the issues at stake in the forthcoming elections to enable them to vote for the party.

He said mudslinging, character assassination and political gangsterism belong to the past and appealed to the supporters and sympathisers to assist the party either in kind or cash in its campaign programme.
