A member of the Council of State and Former Central Regional Minister Comfort Ama Benyiwa Doe, has urged the people of the region to reject the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the December 7 elections as the party has nothing good to offer the people.

Madam Benyiwa Doe accused the NPP of been responsible for the challenges the region is facing as the NPP denied the region their share of the national cake which could have decreased the growing level of poverty in the area.

The NPP, she explains even denied the people their portion of the common fund and developmental projects preferring to spend the money on themselves .

Addressing a party rally in Cape Coast, Madam Ama Benyiwa Doe who is also a former National Women’s Organiser of the NDC, advised the people of the region not to make the mistake of voting again for the NPP in the December 7 elections as the worst could happen to them under an NPP government.

“What good thing did NPP leave for us?. What did they do for us, what development projects did they undertake and now they say we should give them the opportunity to govern again. If everybody would want to give them a second chance, it should not include the central region, as their bad deeds are still fresh on our minds. Our common fund was misappropriated and even developmental projects for the various districts were not undertaken.

They used the money on themselves and that is what they will continue do should they win power again. We should not allow them to deceive us to lose the good things that President Mahama is giving us. We have something good to be proud of in President Mahama and so let us protect it,” he advised.
