NPP should not put impediments in Ghana's way - Dr. Henry Lartey

Flagbearer of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Dr. Henry Herbert Lartey has urged Ghanaians to put all hands on deck and support President John Mahama in the next four years of his administration.

Dr. Lartey in a release issued on Tuesday said: “As citizens of Ghana, we should be a people who draw strength from our diversity of opinion. We should take pride in that.”

“The government will need all of us to build support for solutions that will help move the country forward.

“The New Patriotic Party should not use the vetting process at parliament to put impediments in Ghana’s way.”

The statement said: “When we disagree, we should be prepared to debate. And where there is common ground, we should act -- even though those solutions may be less than perfect.”

“In all instances, we must never stop moving forward. That is our obligation, the responsibility for which every Ghanaian is entrusted. And a duty like that is impossible to fulfill if one acts alone.

“We need every Ghanaian to pledge his or her stand to Ghana first. And while adding each voice to the debates of the nation, let us also begin to work together and make this country a better place for everyone.

“Let us Join President John Dramani Mahama for the next four years, and help make history for our home land Ghana,” the statement said.
