The New Patriotic Party (NPP) immediately after assuming office should have sacked the then Director of Police in charge of Administration, COP Rose Bio Atinga from office before her retirement , according to NPP First Vice Chairman in Ashanti Region, Kwabena Nsenkyere.

According to Mr. Nsenkyere, supporters of NPP across the country between 2008 to 2016 suffered a lot of brutalities from supporters of the then ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and went unpunished because of actions and inactions of COP Rose Bio Atinga at the time who was seen to be in bed with the previous administration.

“Rose Bio Atinga as Director of Police Administration did nothing while NPP members were being brutalized. What we could have done is to remove her from office immediately NPP came to power”, Mr. Kwabena Nsenkyere spoke on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

His comments were in response to calls by the current opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the sack or resignation of the current Inspector General of Police, David Asante Apeatu over the Ayawaso West Wuogon violence accusing him of unprofessional conduct.

He observed that per the judgement and logic of the NDC, COP Rose Bio Atinga deserved a sack describing their calls as trivial and underserving.
