NPP seeks ‘deliverance’ through fasting and prayers

The largest opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has accused President John Mahama and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) of orchestrating the death of NPP Flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo in the spiritual realm before it manifest in the physical.

According to the party, the reckless, irresponsible and evil mock burial of Nana Akufo Addo during the NDC’s Manifesto launch in Sunyani is repressive and must be condemned, adding that “the NDC owes the good people of Ghana an apology.”

A statement signed by the National Women’s Organizer, Otiko Afisa Djaba, has called on Ghanaians to join her pray for Ghana’s deliverance from the “evil and demonic” machinations of the ruling National Democratic Congress government in a 1-week prayer and fasting session, beginning Monday, September 26 to October 2, 2016.

Below is the full statement

The National Women’s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party, Otiko Afisa Djaba, is calling on Ghanaians to join her pray for Ghana’s deliverance from the “evil and demonic” machinations of the ruling National Democratic Congress government in a 1-week prayer and fasting session, beginning Monday, September 26 to October 2, 2016.

According to her, the prayer and fasting session has been necessitated by the “mock burial” of the NPP’s 2016 presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo, at the NDC’s manifesto launch in Sunyani, which she described as nothing short of a demonic activity.

She is thus urging all Ghanaians to join in prayers against machinations against Nana Addo’s life, the latest being the “mock burial” which, she described as an abomination against our motherland.

“So because of politics Nana Addo should be buried alive? Because somebody wants to remain president by force they should kill Nana Addo? This is a Dangerous phenomena. It is sacrilegious and so we should condemn it and pray against it. How come they didn’t bury Akua Donkor or Ayariga or Nduom?” Otiko asked.

She continued, “In Ghana, our culture and traditions are against burying anybody alive. This cannot be a joke as Kofi Adams is claiming. Their witchcraft and demonic plans have been exposed.”

The NPP National Women’s Organiser explained that at the Manifesto launch, General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, revealed that the choice of Sunyani for the launch was significant because the word “Sunyani” means “graveyard of the elephant.”

This, she added, is no excuse to bury the NPP Presidential Candidate whilst he is alive.

“Are there no adults in the NDC? Has it come to this?” she asked.

Therefore, the mock burial of Nana Akufo-Addo at Sunyani was carefully planned and deliberately orchestrated by big wigs of the NDC, with the full backing of President Mahama “to ensure that Nana Akufo-Addo is killed in the spiritual realm, before it manifests in the physical.”

She added that “God being so good he exposed them and sent down the heavy rains on the day to scuttle all their plans.”

The NPP Women’s Organiser further stated that despite the evil machinations of President Mahama against Nana Akufo-Addo, which has included “the forceful foisting of sickness and death on Nana Addo. Today they claim he is a murderer, tomorrow they say he’s a dictator.

They say he is sick, and now they want Nana dead. Are the NDC now God? It is only God who gives life and takes it. So anyone who tries to play God by ending Nana Addo’s life should stop or else the wrath of God would be visited on them. All of these will not work, because God is just.”

Otiko says this reckless, irresponsible and evil mock burial is repressive and must be condemned, adding that “the NDC owes the good people of Ghana an apology.” It is a bad example and she is wondering why the Council of State, the media, Chief of Sunyani, Brong Ahafo Traditional Council, Peace Council and civil society organizations have not come out to forcefully condemn this act.

Otiko wondered why these desperate acts by President Mahama and the NDC have not attracted the condemnation of church leaders, Muslim clerics and the Council of State.

Nonetheless, the NPP Women’s Organiser stated that “we will go ahead to fast and pray for our country. Too many demonic activities have taken place under this NDC government over the last 8 years, and it is time God cleanses and heals our land. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Ghanaians are suffering. Why would God’s eye be on us when the leadership of this country opt for evil?”

“We in the NPP will pray to God to deliver Ghana from the hands of President Mahama and his NDC government, and install a God-fearing President in 2017 in the person of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, because our battle is the Lord’s” she concluded.
