NPP regional chairman calls for patience for NPP

Sunyani, Aug 02, GNA - Mr Kwadwo Yeboah Fordjour, the Brong-Ahafo Regional Chairman of New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Tuesday appealed to Ghanaians to be patient since the NPP administration ''embodies the optimism and aspirations of the country, particularly the youth who have a right to a secure and happy future.''

In an interview with Ghana News Agency in Sunyani to mark the 13th anniversary of the formation of the NPP that fell on Monday, he said it was the determination of the NPP government to promote and encourage small-scale industry to provide employment.

"Since the party took power in 2001, it has exhibited good governance and I urge its supporters to work harder to rope in more members to vote the party back to power in 2008 in order to safeguard democracy", Mr Fordjour said.

He advised Ghanaians against circulating unfounded allegations peddled against the NPP, saying NDC had nothing important to offer the country.

"NDC should keep quiet to allow the ruling party to pursue its good intentions for the growth of the country", Mr. Fodjour said.
