An aspiring National Youth Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B), has said he will win the polls to become the next National Youth Organiser of the party.

According to him, he has all the skills and competencies needed to lead the youth front of the NPP and help the government succeed.

The NPP is preparing for its National Delegates conference to elect new executives to steer affairs of the party for the next four years.

All aspirants have started campaigning ahead of the internal polls. However, there were claims that some officials of the NPP have held a meeting with Nana B to compel him to step down in favour of one of the aspirants.

Speaking on Ghana Yensom on Accra 100.5FM hosted by Chief Jerry Forson on Tuesday, 10 April, Nana B said the claims that a meeting was held and some party officials forced me to step down is not true.

“No such meeting occurred and people should discard that rumour. God willing, I will win to become the next National Youth Organiser of the party, the campaign has been successful and we are picking positive signals.”

He added: “No one compelled me to step down, and I won’t step down, the victory will be loud and emphatic.”

He is contesting against Kamal Deen and Dominic Ewuah.
