NPP must suspend Sir John - Asiedu Nketia

Johnson Asiedu Nketia believes it is only the suspension of Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, otherwise known as Sir John by the leadership of the NPP that could prevent him from passing further unsavoury comments about the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In the estimation of Asiedu Nketia, the utterances of the NPP General Secretary cast a slur on politician in the country, stressing is about time the party called him to order.

Sir John on Monday accused the NDC of masterminding the accident its Vice Presidential candidate in the 2012 election suffered when travelling to the Northern Region on Sunday.

The back tires of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s vehicle reportedly got burst which led to the car somersaulting several times.

Speaking on Asempa FM in Accra, the NDC General Secretary insisted that the party must find ways of preventing the latter from granting interviews to media.

His statements usually do more harm than good to the NPP, Asiedu Nketia stressed.

“Sir John is drawing the NPP back, before you are called General Secretary of a party, it is important that the individual is properly assessed and therefore must be very careful when speaking to the media,” Asiedu Nketia added.
