Political scientist and member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Amoako Baah, has urged the party to purge itself of ‘bad elements’ in order to regain its strength.

He explained that if the party is able to tease out the supposed bad elements in the party, it would be able to return to a place of being a formidable party.

“They have to remove the bad elements in the party so that people will be happy again to come back. If the bad elements remain, nothing will change,” he indicated.

Speaking in a video shared by Onua FM on its X handle, Dr. Amoako Baah explained that it is necessary for the party to address its internal issues to become more effective from within, in order to better serve the interest of its members and the country as a whole.

He advised that members must be allowed to speak what they know and what they are upset about.

“They better allow people to speak what they know and what they are upset about. It has to come out,” he added.
