NPP manifesto out in April

The Weekend Statesman reports that the NPP is to launch its revised manifesto in April to spell out the party?s alternative policies and programmes that would make Ghana a credible player in the millennium chess game if it wins this years general elections. In a centre spread story, the paper says the NPP is also calling for the closure of Ghana?s borders on polling day, December 8, to ward off any possible interruptions by certain negative forces, as other countries do.

The national chairman of the NPP, Mr Samuel Odoi-Sykes is reported to have said this at a two-day workshop for trainers of polling station agents at Koforidua in the Eastern Region. The workshop is said to have attracted about 50 participants from the Greater Accra, Eastern and Volta Regions and some Members of Parliament.
