The National Youth Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku has advised the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) communication machinery to revise their notes if they intend to make political capital out of the NPP's internal strife.
Many ruling NDC communicators and ministers have advised the opposition NPP to allow internal democracy to prevail in their party.
President Mahama, in showing concern, promised to make sure anybody involved in the killing of NPP's Upper East Regional Chairman, Adams Mahama is punished severely.
Addressing the many publications from the ruling NDC quarters concerning the infighting in NPP, Sammy Awuku on Oman Fm’s National Agenda said it will be a bad idea for the NDC to dwell on the internal wrangling of NPP for the upcoming elections which will take place in the next one and half years.
He was of the view that Ghanaians will not easily forget the erratic power supply [dumsor] which has led to the collapse of many businesses for the past three years and the downturn the economy has suffered in the hands of Mahama-led administration.
He added that the recent escalation of the NPP's infighting is not an excuse for President Mahama’s incompetent government as Ghanaians will not vote for the NDC government because there of bickerings in the opposition party.
“NDC should revised their notes if they think Ghanaians will quickly forget the more than 3 years of dumsor suffering they've been experiencing and which has claimed many lives and businesses...and that they will vote for the NDC based on the infighting in NPP….NPP infighting is not an excuse for Mahama’s incompetence; it cannot be an atonement for Mahama’s bad leadership," he stated.
He, therefore, urged the ruling NDC government to concentrate on solving the myriad problems confronting Ghanaians and cease their bedroom prayers that the internal strife in NPP continues.
