NPP UK communications Directorate sitting on a time bomb-A rejoinder

Our attention has been drawn to an article published on Ghanaweb on Wednesday the 24th of June 2011 headed “NPP UK communications Directorate sitting on a time bomb”. The said article sought cast doubt on the integrity of the Branch Communications Officer, Nana Yaw Sarpong and through the use of innuendo and smear tactics, sought to assassinate his character and that of other innocent members of the branch communications committee and supporters of the party. This article was written by an individual calling himself or herself Nanaba Yeboah . There is not an iota of truth in the said article which was full of insults, abuse and libellous material.
I will like to state the following
1. After a thorough examination and investigation to find the said person in our membership we can state without reservation, there is no Nanaba Yeboah who is a member in our branch and a member of our party.
2. The said person who had a telephone number displayed at the bottom of the article did not answer or return phone calls to his or her number.
Our Branch has structures that are used to investigate and deal with complaints whether from within or outside the party. We can only conclude that this was the work of opponents who have set out on their own destructive agenda, to smear and destroy the character of a hardworking individual like Nana Yaw Sarpong and others members of his team who are sacrificing their time and energy to do a very difficult job.

I wish to state that the Branch has full confidence in Nana Yaw Sarpong and his team for the job they are doing to sell the party’s message to Ghanaians in the Diaspora and beyond. I have no doubt that Nana Yaw Sarpong himself is committed to the cause of getting NPP winning the next election in 2012. The entire Branch Executive and Branch membership have full confidence in him and members of Communication Team and will continue to support him in his role as Branch communications office
