Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh’s tireless efforts in helping Dr Mahamadu Bawumia secure victory as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate for the 2028 elections have been recognised and duly rewarded.

The DMB Call Center, one of the NPP’s formidable grassroots groups that benefited from the generosity and support of Dr Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, during the recent campaign period, has presented a touching citation to the former Energy Minister.

According to the group, NAPO not only stood firmly behind them but also consistently provided logistical support, which enabled them to effectively carry out their duties and contribute to Dr Bawumia’s victory in the party’s internal elections.

Members of the DMB Call Center stated that it would have been wrong not to publicly express their profound gratitude and appreciation to NAPO, whom they described as a selfless individual and a strong pillar within the NPP family.

“We wish to express our profound gratitude to you for your generous and unwavering support toward the DMB Call Center,” part of the citation read. The citation was presented by Hajara Mohammed, a leading member of the group, to Napo on Monday.

“Your timely intervention and commitment to initiatives that enhance effective communication and service delivery, particularly in helping to effectively disseminate and amplify the vision of Dr Mahamadu Bawumia to the delegates and electorate of our party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), have made a significant difference in the success and growth of this important platform,” the citation stated.

“Your support has not only strengthened the operational capacity of the Call Center but has also reinforced our mission to provide efficient, responsive, and people-centered services. This contribution reflects your visionary leadership, dedication to development, and genuine concern for empowering institutions that serve the public.”

The citation further noted: “We are deeply appreciative of your continued encouragement and confidence in this initiative. Your support has laid a strong foundation for sustainability and long-term impact, and it will continue to inspire excellence and professionalism in service.”

Reacting to the citation, an emotional NAPO commended members of the DMB Call Center for recognising his behind-the-scenes efforts during the campaign period. He urged them, along with other members of the NPP, to sustain their hard work and commitment as the party prepares for the 2028 elections.
