NPP Polls: Respect electioneering process – Alhaji Short to aspirants

An aspiring National Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party(NPP), Alhaji Abubakar Abdul-Rahman has urged aspirants of the upcoming constituency elections to play by the rules and regulations governing the polls.

In a goodwill message to aspirants Alhaji Abubakar Abdul-Rahman, popularly known as Alhaji Short on Friday who’s the incumbent Upper West Regional Chairman said: “I, however, plead that in our quest to be elected, we respect the electioneering process as outlined by our constitution so we enjoy a peaceful election being mindful that it is an internal party process.”

The statement also admonished aspirants to accept the outcome of the election saying “the New Patriotic Party is an institution which is bigger than any individual. Let us be mindful, we are pacesetters.”

STATEMENT BY THE UPPER WEST REGIONAL CHAIRMAN AND ASPIRING NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OF THE NPP, ALHAJI ABUBAKAR ABDUL-RAHMAN ON THE OCCASION OF THE NEW PATRIOTIC PARTY UPCOMING CONSTITUENCY ELECTIONS

I would like to use this opportunity to wish all aspiring executives in the upcoming constituency elections best of luck as they stand to be elected to lead the great New Patriotic Party (NPP) to serve in diverse capacities.

I however plead that in our quest to be elected, we respect the electioneering process as outlined by our constitution so we enjoy a peaceful election being mindful that it is an internal party process.

I further urge all aspirants to accept the outcome of the election whether win or lose, for the New Patriotic Party is an institution which is bigger than any individual. Let us be mindful, we are pace setters.

Let me conclude by saying, “Leadership is not only about holding a position, one can contribute in diverse ways without necessarily holding a position”.

I pray for a safe, free, just and fair election.
