NPP, NDC assess Akufo-Addo’s “rise and build tour”

Nana Akufo-Addo - NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo - NPP flagbearer

Mr Ransford Delali Kasu, a Former Deputy Communication Officer, Ho Central Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is too weak in the Volta Region to “rise and build”.

“NPP has nothing to build in the Volta Region. The Party is too weak. It is simply unattractive and I don’t see them building anything here,” he said.

Mr Kasu was commenting on the “Rise and Build” tour of the Flag-bearer of NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to the Region, when he, Kasu donated a trip of sand towards the Regional NDC Office project in Ho.

He described Nana Akufo-Addo’s visit to the Region as an “attention-grabber”, deficient of “necessary ingredients to build weak structures of NPP in the Region”.

Mr Kasu said the Region remains a “no go area” for the NPP and confident NDC would “get all the votes” in next year’s general election.

“Volta remains a no go area for NPP. Our target is all the votes and our eyes are on the ball,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mr Evans Anyadi, Adaklu Constituency Chairman of NPP, said Nana Addo’s tour to the Region made a “huge impact”.

He said the tour brought a “strong wave of attractiveness” to the NPP with the young and old reaching for the Party’s membership card.

“I can tell you that our Party card is in high demand now. Voltarians are tired of NDC and we are gradually reaching there.”
