NPP-Italy Chooses Leaders

At a mammoth gathering of members of the external branch of NPP in Italy in the northern Italian city of BRESCIA, NPP-Italy has selected new leaders to lead the party for the next four years. The date was Saturday, 20th of March, 2010. The electoral commissioner, Mr. Albert Obeng Yeboah, after welcoming the invited guests and delegates of the party who had come from the various chapters of the party in Italy, called for a peaceful electoral process. The invited guests included Madam Rita Asobayere, former NPP national women organiser, who flew in from Ghana to represent the NEC of the Party in Ghana, and the chairman of the External Branch of NPP-Holland- Mr Kobby Annan. Personalities such as the Ghanaian chief of Palermo, Nana Appiah Kubi, and the Queenmother of Palermo, Nana Akuamoah Boateng I, amidst pomp and pageantry, electrified the atmosphere of the occasion with magnificent traditional dancing.
In a speech read for him by Madam Asobayere, the newly- elected National Secretary, Mr Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, reiterated the important roles the external branches of the party are playing and called for even greater effort this time around to help end the mal-administration of the NDC- government in the 2012 elections. Madam Rita Asobayere suggested that one way members of the external branches can help the party in Ghana is by adopting polling stations in their home constituencies, adding that the meagre contributions that would be sent to such adopted polling stations will go a long way to help boost the political activities of such stations. The chairman of NPP-Holland, Mr Kobby Annan, made public a scheme NPP-Holland has adopted to help raise funds for the party in the 2012 presidential and parliamentary elections and called on the new executives of NPP- Italy to study the feasibility of introducing the same scheme in Italy.
The newly- elected executive members of the party in Italy are:

1ST OWUSU BOATENG (Vicenza)
