NPP Is Just Covering Up Their Shame - NDC MP

The NDC Member of Parliament for Adenta constituency, has lashed at the New Patriotic Party, (NPP), accusing them of being ‘disingenuous’.

Hon. Kojo Adu-Asare said the NPP should be bold to tell the truth to their supporters and avoid giving them false hope. Adu-Asare’s comment comes on the heels of the NPP’s decision to contest the results of the December 7 elections in court. They (NPP) believe the results were inflated in favour of the incumbent President, John Dramani Mahama.

Contributing to discussions as a panelist on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’ with host Kwami Sefa-Kayi, Adu-Asare said he does not have any problem with the NPP going to court however, “I am not sure this court issue will amount to anything good…”

The Adenta MP opined that the NPP decision to contest the election results in court is just a way of ‘covering up their shame’.

He added that another problem the NPP faced was the initial silence of their flagbearer, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo. For him, Nana should have conceded immediately, encouraging his supporters that ‘better luck next time’.

“I think they are just trying to cover up their shame…they are finding ways and means to appease their supporters but I think this one was disingenuous…the problem was the gab Nana Addo left; close to two days before he came out to speak. He waited too late to speak…” he asserted.
