NPP Evil Plot Exposed

It is now crystal clear that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has an evil plot against this country. The opposition party is determined to set the country ablaze, having assessed its chances ahead of the 2012 general elections and arrived at a firm conclusion that it does not have a dog’s chance of winning back political power, which it lost to the ruling National Democratic Congress in the 2008 general elections.

Intelligence information available to The Catalyst strongly point to the fact that the NPP has identified its drug-tainted flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, as a damaged good who will definitely not sell to the Ghanaian electorate and thus is bound to lead the party to yet another defeat in 2012.

The opposition party whose current leadership is made up of hawks within it, The Catalyst has learnt, has recently made a final decision to pursue the course of violence, the type that took place in Ivory Coast during that country’s recent electoral dispute between its former President, Laurent Gbagbo and President Allassane Ouatarra.

The information has it that having assessed all possible means of ensuring violence becomes the order of the day after their imminent loss of the elections, the party has opted for a tribal war. Leading figures of the party will therefore henceforth are expected to whip up tribal sentiments in preparing the grounds for a bloody onslaught in the wake of another electoral defeat in 2012.

The NPP intends to depend on the Akan ethnic group in perpetuating its dastardly act. What is even more frightening is that the opposition party is not only aiming at relying on Akans in the country to carry out this evil plot, but is trying to win the hearts of Ivorian Akans, who have tasted war and know how to fight it.

Mr Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, chairman of the NPP last Wednesday indicated strongly that the NPP will be using the Akan ethnic group in ensuring the party gets what it wants in the elections. He stated categorically on NPP MP Kennedy Agyepong’s Oman FM that the Akans who are in the majority in Ghana will emulate the Akans of Ivory Coast who fought to get what they wanted in the recent war sparked by an electoral dispute in that country.

Even though Jakes statement is a fallacy because those who won the war in Ivory Coast are the Allassane Ouatarra-backed northern tribes who fought against the Laurent Gbagbo-backed Akans, which is why some of them are refugees living in Ghana today, the intelligence information says the NPP chairman is very much on top of his game.

It would be remembered that the NPP had all along backed Allassane Ouatarra and his rebels who fought a merciless war from the northern part of Ivory Coast against Laurent Gbagbo and his Akan supporters in the south, before finally succeeding in invading the capital and capturing the former President.

Our intelligence report indicates that the reason Jake is making comments now to suggest that the Akan dominated group in the Ivorian war was the victor, even though they lost, is that the NPP is trying to appeal to the conscience of the Ivorian Akans, especially the refugees in Ghana, who already know how to fight in a war, to help them carry out their evil plot in 2012.

The basis of this agenda, according to the information, is that the NPP is unhappy about the friendship between President John Evans Atta Mills and President Allassane Ouatarra and want to incite the Ivorian Akans, majority of whom obviously abhor their President and thus possibly detest President Mills who has accorded the Ivorian president so much courtesy, since their enemies friend is their enemy.
