NHIA mourns Hamdiya father's demise

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) combined delegation from the Head Office, Northern Regional and district offices participated in the final funeral service (Adua) of the late Alhaji Yakubu Amadu, who was affectionately known in private life as Vorsky.

The deceased was the father of the Authority’s Corporate Affairs Directorate Acting Deputy Director, Hamdiya Amadu Yakubu.

The funeral service was held in Tamale and extended to Bimbila in the Nanumba North Municipality.

The NHIA'S Administration and Human Resources Deputy Chief Executive, Raphael Segkpeb, on the eve of the final Adua, personally visited the deceased family home in Tamale and expressed his heartfelt condolences.

From the Head Office, Acting Deputy Director, Rockson Atakole led the delegation that offered comfort, prayers and collective support to the bereaved family, affirming the NHIA family’s shared compassion.

The delegation’s presence was a testament that beyond the working environment, the NHIA is a formidable family that stands together in moments of grief and happiness.

As a respected statesman, disciplinarian and historian, the late Alhaji Yakubu lived a dignified and purposeful lifestyle.

In active public service, he served in various capacities in Yendi and Takoradi and retired at the Northern Regional Coordinating Council.

His invaluable contributions to nation-building, philanthropic efforts and closeness to Allah serve as a true definition of the late Alhaji Yakubu everlasting legacy.
