NGO donates solar lanterns to Kaneshie Polyclinic

The Kumasi Institute of Technology, Energy and Environment (KITE), a non-governmental organisation has donated solar rechargeable lanterns to the Kaneshie Polyclinic in Accra, to support healthcare delivery, especially during power outages.

Mr Ishmael Agyekum-Hene, Executive Director of KITE, said with the ongoing power crisis in the country, it is important that the Polyclinic was supported with the rechargeable lanterns to support its work.

He said with the expensive nature of running a generator set, the solar lantern would help save cost and expressed the hope that the lanterns would be put to good use.

Dr Patrick Amo-Mensa, the Medical Director, Kaneshie Polyclinic, commended the NGO for the donation and urged others to emulate the gesture.
