NDP Hits Back: Mahama Will Lose

The National Democratic Party (NDP) has hit back at President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) saying ‘no matter what they will lose the elections’.

This follows the dismissal of a case the party (NDP) filed against the Electoral Commission (EC), seeking an order to compel the EC to include the name of its flag bearer, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, on the ballot paper of presidential candidates for the December polls.

The case which was earlier adjourned to enable the NDP to respond to an affidavit in opposition filed by the EC is the latest setback for the NDP ahead of next week’s elections.

Speaking to the issue in an interview on Peace News @ 6pm, Ernest Owusu Bempah, a member of the Communication team of the NDP said he is not surprised of the court ruling. He accused the President Mahama led administration of being in bed with the judiciary and other institutions just to ensure that the NDP does not succeed.

He said the party is not going to react at the moment because currently they are concentrating on the ‘numerous’ parliamentary aspirants they have all over the country; to ensure that they win and gain access to parliament.

“That is where we will air our views for government to know that they cannot eat their cake and have it. This will tell Ghanaians that you can use the judiciary powers against us but it will never work. Ever since day one government has done all they can to ensure that NDP does not come up. They are losing the elections and no matter what they will lose the elections. Ghanaians will finally speak and reject John Mahama…” he said.
