NDC will overcome challenges - Yahaya

THE General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Huudu Yahaya has said the party has the internal dynamism and capability of overcoming challenges of the times."The NDC is surely doing internal re-assessment to surmount challenges that have been confronting it since the last elections," he said.

Alhaji Yahaya said this in an interview at the party headquarters in Accra yesterday.According to the NDC General Secretary, the evergrowing enthusiasm of its teeming supporters coupled with the victories at the last two general elections have posed bigger challenges for the party."The party recognises and appreciates such big challenges being put before it," he stressed.Alhaji Yahaya said the party is not leaving such challenges in the hands of the leadership and is counting on its rank and file in terms of their continued activism, support and contributions.The NDC General Secretary stressed that the social basis of the party which is designed to articulate and care for the well-being of the vast majority of the people remains as solid as ever.

"The NDC being a grassroots oriented party, will not abandon the cause which is historically determined as regards the demands, moods and aspirations of the people.He called on the rank and file to stand solidly behind the leadership of the party and not give in to sinister attempts by its political opponents to divide their ranks.

Induction course for DCEs opens in Accra
