NDC stalwart joins NPP

Atebubu (B/A), Aug. 14, GNA - Mallam Hudu Inusah, first vice chairman of the National Democratic Congress in Atebubu/Amantin constituency, has defected to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He told the GNA in a telephone interview that the good and laudable policies of NPP needed to be encouraged and supported to accelerate the pace of national development.

"I have come to realize that NPP is the only party that can build Ghana because of its policies", he said and appealed to Ghanaians to retain the party in 2008.

Mallam Inusah mentioned the capitation grant, school feeding programme and the smooth implementation of the National Youth Employment Programme as policies that would help alleviate the plight of the entire citizenry.

He asked Zongo communities to debunk the wrong perception that NPP was for only Akans and advised the party membership to unite and work extra hard to ensure a landslide victory in the next general election. Mallam Inusah said the NPP administration had fulfilled its promise to the people of Atebubu to restore confidence in the country's currency.

Mallam Inusah said the people of Sene, Atebubu/Amantin and Pru districts had witnessed improvement in their lives with the provision of potable water, quality education, affordable healthcare delivery, good road construction and efficient telecommunication system. He mentioned communities such as New-Kromkrompe, Jato-Zongo and Mim in the district that had benefited from small town pipe borne system and commended the District Chief Executive for his hard and dedicated services. 14 Aug 07
