NDC's Position On The Vote Counting

As we await the compilation of final results by the EC, and subsequent declaration, the NDC wishes to reassure its supporters and sympathisers that the party is poised for victory.

According to certified results, the Party has secured a working majority of the 230 constituencies and has also won 7 out of 10 regions.

This is the major electoral achievement and is a strong indication of what the final outcome of the presidential results would be.

Knowing that it is losing the election, the NPP is up to its usual mischief.. It is playing a psychological game by getting its supporters to start jubilating in preparation for implementing whatever plans they may have hatched.

We wish to reassure the country that the NDC will continue to remain vigilant but will not be provoked into any action that will play into the hands of the NPP.

In this regard, we call on the media not to allow itself to be used as a conduit to propagate figures and percentages that have no bearing on the true state of affairs as they are emerging.

In the same vein, the Party is urging its supporters to ignore any figures being bandied around by the media until the EC makes a final determination.

The NDC is very confident that it will emerge victorious and out supporters will have cause to celebrate
