Mr Isaac Awuku Yibor, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary aspirant for Domeabra-Obom, has urged the electorate to ignore politicians who distributes food items rather than the provision of projects.
“Let us demand for good motorable roads, extension of electricity, provision of potable water, health clinics, vocational training centres, educational facilities, places of convenience, among others instead of food,” he said.
Mr Yibor who gave the advice in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Amasaman said some frustrated politicians have infiltrated the Domeabra-Obom Constituency distributing food items such as rich, maize and cooking oil to dissuade the good thinking of the people of the area.
He said the problems of community members in the constituency are not about food, but a sustainable development plan that would bring changes in their living standards.
He said community members should not allow crook politicians who had attempted their political fortunes at several places and could not succeed to deceive them with such items to “throw the baby away with the bath water”.
Mr Yibor lauded the incumbent Member of Parliament, Mr Daoud Anum Yemoh who had worked hard to bring peace and development to the area.
“I have the same vision and mission with a different style to continue the good works of the NDC in the constituency. We should avoid fraudsters and frustrated politicians,” he said.
