NDC Ministers finally unite at constituency campaign launch

The purported frosty relationship between the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Haruna Iddrisu and the Minister of Roads and Highways, Allhaji Innusah Fusheini on Saturday gave way to a new life.

Both legislators within the Tamale Metropolis for the first time demonstrated to their supporters they are one and fighting a common purpose as they held hands and waved to teeming supporters of the party in Tamale.

It was an interesting sight to behold when Allhaji Innusah Fusheini joined his colleague in Tamale South to launch his campaign, something which has never happened over the years.

The bad blood between the two National Democratic Congress (NDC) legislators reportedly reached its crescendo in 2014 following violent reprisal attacks among their supporters for reasons yet to be known.facebook-20160903-221505

What is said to have allegedly further heightened animosity between supporters of the two, were claims Haruna Iddrisu had veered into happenings within the Tamale Central Constituency to make the current MP unpopular in order to open him up for contest in future elections. facebook-20160903-221459

Supporters of both Ministers have constantly taken to various media platforms to verbally abuse each other and write unprintable things over who had supremacy over the other in the region.

Though close confidants deny any such acrimony between them claiming it is a move to bring about divisions in the party, both have never been spotted together giving credence to the suspicion.

But the emergence of Alhaji Innusah Fusheini at the campaign launch of his colleague sent a different signal and has finally put to an end claims they are at ‘war’.
