NDC Is The Best – Sekou Nkrumah

Son of the first President of Ghana, Mr. Sekou Nkrumah has stated that he joined the NDC because it is the greatest and most experienced political party in the country today. According to him, the NDC, as a political party has come to stay and added that he hopes to see the party come back to power in 2008.

He urged the youth within the party to work very hard to ensure the party matches to victory in 2008. Sekou Nkrumah made this statement during an inaugural ceremony of the Tema community 19 Desmaco branch executives. “Some politicians tried to get me to join the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), but I refused because I believe the NDCs ideology is very close to that of the CPP.

I hope that the CPP and the NDC will one day come together because it is very important for the NDC to get other people with similar ideologies involved in building mother Ghana,” he said. When the National Organiser of the NDC and the former Eastern Regional deputy minister, Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo took his turn on the platform, he said he is very optimistic that NDC will certainly win power in 2008 because as a party the NDC has a common goal and is not a party that practices tribalism.

The NPP government, he claims always thinks of the welfare of the affluent than the poor in society. The NDC, he said used to subsidise water and electricity when it was in power but the NPP government on the other hand removed the entire subsidy thus subjecting Ghanaians to tremendous hardship.
