NDC Germany Congratulates Ghanaian workers on May Day

Hundreds of jubilant Ghanaian workers / families, German trade unions as well as other ethnic working class in both the public and private sectors converged at the state Park in Rostock, a city about 100 km away from Hamburg city of Germany for the regional rally and picnic session to commemorate the workers day.
May Day is the time for reflection and introspection for workers. It is the time that workers and the people of the world take stock of the plight, not only of workers, but the unemployed and other marginalized sections of society.
A sober reflection of which Ghanaians both home and abroad would appreciate and gladly cherish as the government of NDC under Prof. Mills has undoubtedly fulfilled most of his promises with regard to providing basic amenities, infrastructures, converted about 99% of all government workers unto the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS) and currently working assiduously to complete the process thus making our dear nation conducive for investment and industrial strike-free.
The take-home pay of our security agencies has been increased considerably; Remuneration and condition of service of all Ghanaian Teachers have been practically improved. These include net salaries ranging from pupil teacher to the rank of Degree holders have been increased.
This assertion has duly been confirmed by the Trade union Secretar – General Mr. Kofi Asamoah during similar May Day gatherings in Ghana. Thus he said “Ghana has seen the highest level of economic growth – longest period of micro-economic stability, highest level of international reserve among others - under the leadership of President John Evans Atta Mills”.
The meeting in Rostock – Germany was to provide an avenue for the entrepreneurs from various establishments to have the opportunity to interact with and solicit the concerns of workers and educate them on the need to ensure their civil rights, better conditions of service and responsibilities.
Special message released by the NDC Germany communication office declares “We, as unified Ghanaians in Germany extend our special May Day warmth Greetings to all workers of Ghana for your selfless, dedicated and patriotic services rendered to improve the economy of Ghana. We are proud of you because the event has been observed without workers’ street strikes and demonstrations. The credit goes to you (Ghanaian Labour forces) as well as good governances of NDC under Prof. Mills.”
In another development, Karim Abilla (a member of NDC Germany communication Team) who joined in a May Day radio program by Souls Radio –a mega radio station based in Paris-France, extended his greetings to his Muslim Brothers in Ghana and urged them to disregard and avoid being manipulated by the so-called greedy politicians for their selfish gains. This was a reflection of the theme” “Election 2012, the Role of Workers in Securing Peaceful and Fair Elections”,
