NDC Destroyed Ghana?s Economy -Dep. Minister

The deputy minister for local government and rural development, Hon. Captain (Rtd) Nkrabea Effah-Darteh has said that the NDC must be laid on the table and given some strokes at the back for delaying our economy. ?After so many years of independence, Ghana is still swimming in poverty and in most our rural areas, schools are still holding classes under shades of trees.

The deputy local government minister, who is also the MP for Berekum stated this recently when he paid a day?s working visit to the Fanteakwa district in the eastern region to acquaint himself with development projects. He pointed out that what the previous administration has done is a clear manifestation of their insensitivity to the plight of the people and added that it will be a great mistake if Ghanaians should vote for them back to power.

?The NDC deserve some punishment and I surely recommend that they be laid on the table and whipped? he said. Honourable Efah Darteh was of the view that 47 years in the life of a nation is long enough for it to change its status as a developing country but in Ghana we are now building schools and constructing roads, he described this as a very big shame. It beats my mind to understand that despite the rich land that we have, coupled with the various European grants we receive each year, yet we are still poor.

The minister was however impressed at the level of success that have been chalked by the Fanteakwa district in terms of developmental projects since the NPP administration came into office. He used the opportunity to appeal to the people for their votes in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections
