NDC Challenges Authenticity of Polls

The National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament for the Adenta constituency, Kojo Adu Asare is challenging the South African firm and other pollsters predicting that the NDC will lose the upcoming elections to prove their methodology before drawing conclusions.

Reacting to the front page caption of today’s edition of the New Statesman newspaper to the effect that Mills will lose 2012, Hon. Adu Asare said “some people will sit in Accra, listen to the radio and make their sampling from there and at the end of the day, make a conclusion out of it”.

He further stated that “a place where children use to walk three to four kilometers before they enter their classroom and parents know what they go through before these children go to school and come back” will not accept the claims.

According to Hon. Adu Asare, the firm should provide the questionnaire they used, the sector they used and the areas they conducted the survey before they can be given the credibility.

Hon. Adu Asare also said judging from the personality of President Mills and his achievement under the better Ghana Agenda, there is no way Ghanaians will reject the NDC party.

The story also had it that the NDC party leadership commissioned pollster Ben Ephson to conduct an independent opinion poll in April on the chances of President Mills ahead of the 2012 polls.

But Ben Ephson say “it is a blatant lie”.
