NC Special Competition: Unity FC held at home by Bofoakwa Tano

High flying Division One side Unity FC were held to a pulsating 0-0 by Tano Bofoakwa at home on Wednesday in the NC Special Competition.

After easing past Nsuatreman United in their opening game, Unity FC were held to a disappointing draw against the Tano Club.

In a game both sides created a lot of chances, it was the home side that had most of the balls asking the visitors a lot of questions.

Both sides failed to find the back of the net at end of the first half.

The second half was full of action as Unity FC goes all out in search for the opener.

But it was the visitors who came close with striker Abuu’s effort hit the goalposts, before goalkeeper Samuel Tawiah acted quickly to save the rebound.

The home side had the chance to win it as Chris Shaw’s through pass located Ernest Asante only for the striker to blast the ball wide.

The game ended 0-0 but feels like a defeat to the home side who could have carried the day.
