NACOB boss storms UK over seizure of cannabis

The embattled Executive Secretary of the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB), Yaw Akrasi Sarpong, is currently in the United Kingdom (UK) to deliberate with his counterparts who are investigating people behind the cannabis haul that was arrested last week in a flight from Ghana.

The cannabis is the biggest arrest at Heathrow airport in three years, officials have said.

The NACOB Boss has since accepted blame for the security breach at the Kotoka International Airport.

The development, has however, attracted widespread condemnations from security and political watchers, with some calling for Mr. Akrasi Sarpong's immediate resignation.

But in a swift response, the National Security Coordinator Col. Larry Gbevelo-Larty has served notice that the latter will remain at post.
