Musama Disco Christo Church celebrates Good Friday

Sunyani, GNA April 2 - The Berekum branch of the Musama Disco Christo Church, celebrated Good Friday, with the call on Christians to eschew social vices that undermines national unity and cohesion. Rev. Nana Agabus Agyapong, District Pastor of the church, expressed regret that Christians are engulfed in misunderstanding and confusion. "Let us love one another as in unity we can help to assert the country's development," he said.

Rev. Agyapong noted that the present date church is bedevilled with confusion and negative practises, which he said did not augur well for the growth of Christianity and society at large. At the Glad Tidings Assemblies of God Church in Sunyani, Rev. Joseph Awuni, the Senior Pastor urged Christians, to give the word of God a central place in their lives in order to fight poverty, diseases and other social problems.

He asked Christians to put on a new identity to justify the crucifixion of Christ.

Rev. Nicholas Kanyre, District Pastor at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Sunyani, delivered a sermon on "the significance of the passion and death of Jesus". He said the death of Jesus reconciled man with his maker and advised Christians to use their new image to spread the word of God.
