Motorist smashed beyond recognition on Accra–Nsawam Highway

One person is dead after a crash involving a motorcycle, an idle trailer and an unidentified vehicle.

According to eyewitnesses, the victim believed to be in his mid-twenties was on a motorcycle facing Nsawam when the accident occurred.

The trailer with registration number GT 3290 W was parked on the edge of the road without a warning triangle and since it was dark the victim did not see it early enough to avoid it.

He smashed into the trailer and took a sharp turn which landed him in the middle of the road.

An oncoming speeding vehicle then run over him, killing him and leaving him beyond recognition.

Witnesses say Police had to sweep his 'scattered' body off the road.

As at the time of the report, police had already cleaned up the scene and gathered the necessary data for preliminary investigation.
