General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, popularly known as General Mosquito has been commended for being consistent in giving his evidence at the ongoing election petition at the Supreme Court.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been criticising General Mosquito for his conduct since he mounted the witness box.
When lead counsel for the petitioners, lawyer Philip Addison, took over, General Mosquito courted more controversy because, according to the NPP, he was a bag of contradictions.
However, speaking to Peace FM, National Organiser of the NDC, Yaw Boateng Gyan, says he is not surprised that the NPP are making such comments.
According to him, if one takes a critical analysis of everything his General Secretary has been saying, everyone will attest to the fact that he has been consistent.
Yaw Boateng Gyan is of the view that, if General Mosquito was contradicting himself, the petitioners would have kept long in their cross-examination.
However, because he was on point, they had to cut short their cross-examination.
“He was not contradicting himself. As for us we thought the cross-examination of the petitioners was going to last for about a week because of the things they were saying before Asiedu Nketia mounted the witness box, but looking at the performance of Asiedu Nketia, they had to end; they had nothing else to say."
Obviously, they will say that he was contradicting himself, but that is not the truth. If you listened critically, you would realise that what he has been saying is consistent, especially with the playing of the recording and questions that followed,” he asserted.
