Mintah calls for collaboration between appointees and party

Winneba Junction (C/R), Oct 2, GNA - A leading member of the National Democratic Congress, Mr Kofi Mintah, has called on government appointees to collaborate with party officials to ensure smooth implementation of the party's manifesto. He told the GNA in an interview that the manifesto pledged a better life for all and that could not be done if appointees and party officials did not work as a team.

Mr Mintah said any attempt to sideline or undo one another could endanger their commitment to make the country better than what they met. "As much as possible let us place the party above personal considerations," he said and appealed to them to avoid internal wrangling that could divide the party. Mr Mintah appealed to Ghanaians to exercise patience and allow the government to work at its pace as putting pressure on it to quicken the pace might not end well.

"Things done in a hurry often do not end well," he said. He appealed to the youth to demand opportunities for building their capacities to enable them to fit into the job market than requesting for employment when they do not have the requisite skills and qualifications.
