Ministry of Environment to present policy on National Science, Technology before Parliament

The Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng has stated that his Ministry is set to present a draft policy on National Science, Technology and Innovation to Parliament.

The policy according to the Minister, would provide a framework for stimulating innovation and to promote Science and Technology application in the country.

Speaking at a Press encounter in Accra, the Minister said, “We need a policy that will guide all of us in the ministry on how we are going to use science and technology to build our nation.”

He added that his outfit has presented some names to President Nana Akufo-Addo to form a presidential advisory council that will advise the President on how to advance Science and Technology in the country.

“We have suggested some names to the president and in the appropriate time I think the president will make it known to the Ghanaians the men and women who are going to advise him on advancing Science and Technology.”
